The Goult Studio Privacy Policy

About me and The Goult Studio
The Goult Studio, is a private rental property run by me, Ailie Collins. This privacy notice sets out how I handle personal information in line with EU data protection laws.

Why do I collect personal information?
I process personal data of past, present and future renters of The Goult Studio.  I collect and store securely contact details for all renters ie names, addresses, email and telephone numbers.  The grounds for processing this information are contractual: I cannot provide the rental accommodation requested and paid for unless individuals provide me with their personal data.

I do not send any data overseas, nor do I share any information with any other person or organisation.  The only circumstances under which I would share your data would be if I had a legal or statutory obligation to do so. I retain personal information for up to five years after the date of last rental, and it is then destroyed securely.

What are your rights?
EU data protection legislation gives individuals rights in respect of their personal data held by businesses and other organisations. These are:
1.     To be informed why, where and how I use your information.
2.     To ask for access to your information.
3.     To ask for your information to be corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete.
4.     To ask for your information to be deleted or removed where there is no need for me to continue processing it.
5.     To ask me to restrict the use of your information.
6.     To ask me to copy or transfer your information from one IT system to another in a safe and secure way, without impacting the quality of the information.
7.     To object to how your information is used.
8.     To challenge any decisions made without human intervention (ie automated decision making)
If you have any questions about the data that I hold or wish to complain about my handling of your personal data, please contact me, Ailie Collins at cdjardins@orange.fr. If you are based in the EU (including the UK at the time of writing) and you are not satisfied with the outcome of your complaint, you can contact the supervisory authority for data protection in your own country.
